ISMT and Clube do Mar de Coimbra sign cooperation protocol

The Miguel Torga Higher Institute (ISMT) and the Coimbra Sea Club signed an institutional cooperation protocol in a session held at the ISMT headquarters. The formal document was signed by Manuel Castelo Branco, President of the ISMT Board of Directors, and Maria Eduarda da Silva Mendes Rodrigues, President of the Board of Directors of the Coimbra Sea Club.

The main objective of this partnership is to enhance cooperation between the higher education institution and the local sports association. The protocol foresees the joint organization of sporting and cultural initiatives and also ensures reciprocal support in the dissemination of events and initiatives organized by each party.

As part of the first steps foreseen by this agreement, and with a particular focus on the student community, the Coimbra Sea Club will create the necessary conditions for a sailing experience, an activity that will be part of the next freshman welcome event. The formalization ceremony was also attended by Humberto Oliveira, Vice-President of the ISMT Board of Directors, Ilda Massano Cardoso, President of the ISMT Pedagogical Council, and Isa Magalhães, Secretary of the ISMT Board of Directors.
