The Instituto Superior Miguel Torga (ISMT) participated in the 4th Municipal Meeting of Associative Leaders of Figueira da Foz — LÍDER+, an event that took place on November 15, at the Grupo de Instrução União Caceirense. The meeting, promoted by the Association of Collectivities of the Municipality of Figueira da Foz (ACCFF), gathered leaders from various local collectivities with the aim of promoting debate and capacity building.
The meeting constituted a space for sharing and networking with the objective of strengthening the local associative movement. The programme included a round table dedicated to the theme “Associativismo: um recurso para a vida” (Associativism: a resource for life), where the young people Sol Marques, Edgar Rocha, and Gabriela Fontinha intervened, sharing their perspectives on the relevance of associativism in their personal and professional paths. The moderation of this session was overseen by Ricardo Santos, vice-president of ACCFF.
ISMT's participation was marked by the intervention of faculty member Fernando Tavares, who presented the topic “Desafios que Inspiram: A Arte de Liderar e Motivar Equipas” (Challenges that Inspire: The Art of Leading and Motivating Teams). This communication offered a reflection on leadership and team management in the associative context, applying academic knowledge to the practical challenges faced by leaders. ISMT's presence and contribution to this event reinforce the institution's commitment to regional development and the capacity building of human capital in the associative sector.
