Celebrating 50 years of the April Revolution and Social Work
April 25, 1974 definitely marked Portuguese society and also represented an important milestone for Social Work in Portugal. Not only social workers but also schools of Social Work were actively involved in mobilizing workers and students for protests and demonstrations, helping to unify the popular movement against the authoritarian regime.
