Humberto Oliveira was decorated on the 17th of July, during the formal session of the Municipality Day of Penacova.

The Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Instituto Superior Miguel Torga (ISMT), Humberto Oliveira, has received the Medal of Honour from the Municipality of Penacova. The ceremony took place on the 17th of July, as part of the formal session commemorating the Municipality Day. The distinction was awarded for the period he served as Mayor of Penacova, between 2009 and 2021.

The presentation of the honorary decorations resulted from a proposal by the current municipal executive, led by Álvaro Coimbra, and took place within the scope of the celebration of fifty years of democratic local government in Portugal. The medals were handed over by the Deputy Secretary of State for the Presidency, Rui Armindo Freitas, and by the current mayor. On the same occasion, the former mayor, Maurício Marques, was also decorated, with the tribute to the two former mayors being one of the central moments of the session.

The ceremony also included recognition of the municipality's corporate sector, with distinctions awarded to SME Excellence, Leader, and Gazelle companies, and a tribute to municipal workers with 25 and 35 years of service. The event was attended by several entities, including Helena Teodósio, President of the Região Metropolitana de Coimbra.
