On December 12th, the Instituto Superior Miguel Torga (ISMT) will host the presentation of the study titled "Family experiences during the cost-of-living crisis - Children's views on well-being impacts". The event will take place at the Institute's Campus E (Rua Gomes Freire), starting at 10:00 am. This study is promoted by EAPN Portugal (European Anti-Poverty Network).

The opening session will feature interventions by lecturer Ilda Massano, President of the ISMT Pedagogical Council, and lecturer Rosa Tomé, Coordinator of the Social Work Degree. The contextualization of the theme, focusing on childhood, will be delivered by Maria José Vicente, National Coordinator of EAPN Portugal, and Paula Duarte, Coordinator of the Coimbra Branch of the IAC (Child Support Institute). The central presentation of the research data will be led by lecturer Manuel Menezes, the study's coordinator.

To complement the analysis, the programme includes a reflection session titled "The Conversation that follows: the second look at the study", led by lecturer Manuel Sarmento, from the Institute of Education at the University of Minho, a specialist in children's contexts, daily lives, and well-being. The event will close with a debate open to participants, promoting discussion on social policies and the socio-economic impact on families.
