The Instituto Superior Miguel Torga (ISMT) is promoting a Travel Blogging Immersion Course on the 15th and 16th of May, focusing on digital content creation for the tourism sector.

The Instituto Superior Miguel Torga (ISMT) is hosting the Travel Blogging Immersion Course, taking place at the Museu da Pedra in Cantanhede on the 15th and 16th of May 2026. The opening session is attended by lecturer Sara Lopes Borges, from the Coordination of the Coimbra School of ISMT, and trainers Catarina Leonardo and Sérgio Silva Soares. This training is aimed at travellers, senior tourism technicians, social media managers, journalists, photographers, and the student community, running from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

The initiative aims to explore the dynamics of social media and the time dedicated to leisure and travel. The programme addresses the specifics of the daily lives of frequent travellers and digital communication strategies. Participants have the opportunity to develop skills in areas such as editorial content planning, search engine optimisation (SEO), digital writing, and storytelling techniques, as well as travel photography and videography, using editing tools and applications.

The training is structured into eight modules, including topics such as revenue sources for digital projects, the management of social media platforms, and reflection on ethics and sustainability in the sector. The curriculum highlights the need to respect local cultures and promote conscious practices during the tourism and reporting process. The training path, also led by trainer Filipe Carvalho, culminates in the development of a final blog project. This workshop provides practical and applied tools for professionals and those interested in communicating in the digital environment.
