Applied Math I

LEARNING OUTCOMES

This course aims to put students in contact with various base aspects related to Mathematics, including:
1. Understanding the concept of Mathematical Modelling and other inherent notions.
2. Presentation of the main concepts associated with Statistical Analysis or Equilibrium and their appropriate application in specific situations.
3. Recognising the importance of Matrix Algebra and its practical application in various areas.
4. Acquiring concepts and fundamental notions of Differential Calculus.
5. Exploring connections within and between topics.
6. Making conjectures and justifying reasoning.
7. Discussing strategies to solve a problem and interpreting the results critically.
8. Developing autonomous attitudes.
9. Developing mathematical argument skills, logic - deductive reason, rigorousness and creativity
