Family Businesses: Deconstructing the myth
The Instituto Superior Miguel Torga (ISMT) and the Serra da Lousã Business Association (AESL) are organising an initiative dedicated to the theme of family businesses on 24 March. The event will take place between 14:30 and 17:30 at the Prof. Viana de Lemos Museum Auditorium in Lousã and is open to the public.
The programme begins with the "Conversations with" panel, moderated by Luís Parreirão. This round table includes the participation of Pedro Teixeira, representing Fapricela, and Hugo Marques, from Lousãtextil. The session focuses on sharing experiences regarding the management and continuity of these organisations, seeking to objectively analyse the concepts associated with family structures within a business context.
The second part of the afternoon consists of an information session dedicated to the "Current legal aspects of family businesses". The presentation will be led by Cláudia Oliveira, Daniela Sequeira, and Manuel Castelo Branco. Contemporary legal challenges faced by these entities will be addressed, from succession processes to the current legal framework, providing a technical insight into the sustainability of the sector.
